I have assumed the charge of the Director General, ITBP, on the First day of New Year 2024. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all members of the Force and their families. I am honoured to be a part of this elite Force which is renowned for its camaraderie, valour and dedication. The Force has a most challenging objective before it and our Himveers have unfailingly risen to the task in keeping with the motto of ‘Valour-Determination-Devotion to Duty’.

With a constant evolving adversary and changing environment, the Force will strive to constantly upgrade its standards and equipment to meet the new and emerging challenges on the highest border in the world and in other theatres. I have no doubt that every member of the Force will strive to achieve this in the coming days with professionalism, energy and dedication.

Welfare of the whole Himveer parivar is always uppermost in our minds. We will continue the various schemes being run by ‘HWWA’ for the welfare of the families of the Himveers with the same energy and devotion as before, so that our Himveers can focus on their duties without any distractions or worries. Once again, I wish all the members of the Force and their families a very happy & prosperous New Year.
